Fast Open - Small tool that can quickly launch a program or open a file.

First-Run

Download the Aniosoft FastOpen installation program from here or from the 'TRY' button above. After the installation, start the Aniosoft Fastopen from the shortcut on the “Start” menu.
The first operation of the software will automatically display a configuration dialog. In this interface, you can configure the index of documents and procedures and the hotkey of the Aniosoft Fastopen.

Windows Address Book: If choose the option, the system will establish the index for contact information in Windows Address Book (namely, the Outlook Express address book). Since, you can directly enter the name to look over the contacts’ telephone, mobile phone, e-mail and other information in Aniosoft FastOpen.
Start - >All Programs: If choose the option, the system will establish the index for all programs shortcuts under the sub-menu of the “Start” menu.
Desktop: If choose the option, the system will establish the index for all shortcuts on the desktop.
Administrative Tools: If choose the option, the system will establish the index for all programs under the sub-menu of the “Start” menu.
Favorites: If choose the option, the system will establish the index for Internet Explorer Favorites.
Include Extension: Here, you can configure the extension of files which need to be indexed, separated by commas. Some common extension has been preset in the dialog.
Include dir: Here, you can configure the directory of files which need to be indexed, and you can specify the number of the directories, separated by commas. The system will default to contain all root directories except the partition where the major system has been installed.
Hotkey: you can change hotkey settings here, the default is "Ctrl +` ". At the time the Aniosoft FastOpen is running, you can quickly display the search box with using the hotkey.
After completing the configuration, click “OK” to start establishing the index. And a prompting message will be displayed in the tray.

After completing establishing the index, an “index-created” prompting message will be displayed in the tray. Now, you can start using the Aniosoft FastOpen.

Use

After the index, press the hotkey or click the icon on the task bar to open the search box as below. Entering the text in the box, and all matching applications or files will be listed in the box. Use the "up arrow" key and the "down arrow" key to select the file you need, and then "Enter". If pressed the "Shift + Enter" button, the software will open the directory the file locates in Windows Explorer.

Index a single file

For the files that are not “Include Extension” or “Include Dir”, the Aniosoft FastOpen will not automatically add them to the index. If necessary, you can find the files in Windows Explorer and click the right mouse button, then in the pop-up menu, select the “Add to Aniosoft FastOpen” to have the files indexed

Set Hotkey

For the most frequently used programs or files, you may even do not have to open the Aniosoft FastOpen dialog to open it. You can directly using a key combination to launch a specific procedure. For instance, if you are used to surfing on the Internet by using the Safari Browser, find and select the Safari line in the Aniosoft FastOpen searching box, and press a key combination, such as “Ctrl + Shift + S”, and the key combination will be recorded. Later at any time, once pressing the very key combination, the Safari Browser will be started. If you needn’t the key combination any more, select the Safari line and press “Alt + Delete”, the former key combination will be removed.

Select Function

In addition to quickly open procedures or documents, the Aniosoft FastOpen can also accomplish other common tasks in the function-selecting area, such as visiting websites, search on Google, sending e-mails, and so on.
Searching on the Internet: Entering the key words and clicking on the “Internet Search” icon, and the system will automatically open the IE to search information on the Internet. The default search engine is the Google search engine. But alternatives are provided, such as Yahoo, MSN and so on.
Online dictionary: Entering the words you want to inquire, and the system will automatically look for the words on the Google dictionary. The default dictionary is “Chinese to English” dictionary, and you can also change different languages.
Weather forecast: Entering the city’s name, and clicking the “weather forecast” icon, the system will display the weather in the recent three or four days in that city.
Web browsing: Entering the website’s address and the system will automatically open the web browser to visit the websites. You can change the browsers you like if you have more than two browsers in you system.
Sending e-mails: Entering the e-mail address and the system will automatically open the default e-mail software to sending e-mails.
DOS Commander (Ctrl+F6): Entering the DOS command and clicking on the “DOS Commander” icon, and then the system will start a DOS command line dialog and execute the command.
Dir or File: Entering the file path and clicking on the “Dir or File” icon, and then the system will automatically open the Explorer to position the file.

After using all of the above functions, the corresponding information would be recorded to Aniosoft FastOpen index in order that they would be at a quick access when using them again.

Smart Select

It is worth mentioning that all the functions provided in the function-selected area are intelligent. In most cases, you needn’t click on the icon to start it. The system will analyze the content you’ve entered and automatically select the matched procedures and hint through the changing icon on the left of the box. After pressing “Ctrl + Enter”, you can call the feature.

File Browser

To accelerate the speed of procedures and documents searching, Aniosoft FastOpen has established a fast index in accordance with you configuration of “Include Extension” and “Include Dir”. For the files that are not included by the index, you also needn’t open the Explorer to find them. Aniosoft FastOpen has provided a disk file browsing function, allowing you to quickly find the document in any disk.
Enter the disk drive letter and a backslash “” in the box, and the software will automatically enter into a state of disk file browser (see diagram below). You can select subdirectory with “up arrow” or “down arrow”. Also you can continue to enter more key words to accurately position the subdirectory. Once you find the subdirectory, press “” or “Tab” to unfold the directory.
Finally, "Enter" key to open the selected file or directory. The file or directory will be added to the index. Next time you can find it by directly entering its name.
